Brief Description of our Adventure

What a wonderful trip.... We decided to spend the day and weekend in New Glarus, first we went to a park that was right outside of the lil switzerland (New Glarus), we walked the meadows trail and enjoyed the peace and quiet that we got while we were out there, we didn't run into anyone except for each-other...

Then it was on to the New Glarus Brewing Company for a brewery self guided tour and beer tasting at the end.. I was a bit taken back when I found out that visiting the brewery isn't enough you still have to pay for the glasses of beer that you taste after you complete the tour... I must say it was a great self guided tour but listening to a recording compared to a real person kind of took the speciality and experience of where and why we were touring/watching people do their jobs..

After we completed the tour we went on to downtown New Glarus, there we visted a fabulous lil switzerland gift shop that had anything and everything and you could easily find yourself looking and admiring all the stores content as it is very unique and well organized.

Next we took a break at a local tavern and had a beer and some appetizers, I must say the prices of food and beer were unbelievable. It was something like one dollar beers and 3 dollar appetizers.

This really got us thinking about dinner and we realized just how hungry we were after our long hike and brewery tour, that we decided to leave this tavern for a sports bar / restaurant. We had wonderful food and again was very cheap..

Off to the local hotel for a good nights rest..
